"Classic Vosne spice notes trimmed in a discreet application of wood add plenty of breadth and depth to the pure cassis, black cherry and warm earth aromas. The exceptionally rich, velvety and generous medium-bodied flavors culminate in a supple, mouth coating and gorgeously long finish."

Vintage Notes

2010 - the vintage of rigour and excellence

Though weather conditions were often difficult, particularly during the summer months, this vintage offers the opportunity to discover great wines with excellent poten- tial, much to the surprise of most of the industry’s professionals.

These extraordinarily fragrant wines offer nuances of red fruit and fresh fruit on the nose and boast lovely cherry red colour. The tannins are silky and there is real har- mony between acidity and roundness on the palate. In the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune this vintage yielded much more heterogeneous results than the previous year, with successful cuvées worthy of the truly great vintages in which finesse, pure precision, and complexity reign.

Winegrowing Notes

Our plot is located in the "Les Champs Traversins" single vineyard. A high proportion of sand and gravel in the soil, the steepness of the slope ("traversins" is derived from Occitan and meant "steep slope"), and the proximity of the Orveau valley are all factors that make this terroir capable of producing a wine with such characteristic elegance and sophistication.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes

The nose features a palette of red berry and summer fruit aromas, enhanced by spicy notes. Round and well balanced on the palate with harmonious structure and rather discrete woody notes. The finish is incredibly long with a touch of dark chocolate on the finish.

Food/Wine Pairing

During a meal, this exquisite wine can accompany finely prepared red meats, all types of game, stews, marinated red meats, and roasts as well as most cheeses.

Serve between 16 and 17°C (60°F - 63°F).
