This vintage of Gaston celebrates the characteristics of a voluptuous and warm vintage.  The abundant sunshine and perfectly timed rain created a wine that is as bold as it is beautiful.  Wispy aromas of violets and fresh blueberries translate into blonde roasted coffee beans and caramel on the palate.  Its chiseled structure is enveloped in a silky embrace that lingers long past the first sip.  Earthy yet etherial, these two opposite characteristics beg for a decadent steak house dinner of some of my favorites like porcini crusted tomahawks and truffle fries.  A little indulgence now and then is good for the palate and the soul…
